Two of my Favourite Blogs!

Well hello there!
I was about to write 'you may not know this, but I love reading blogs' but then I realised I'm a flipping blogger and you're reading this on my flipping blog. Which I actually now think is a good name for a blog come to think about it. 'My Flipping Blog'. Let me check if it's registered.
*a minute later*
Darn it. It is. I don't think there's any posts on it, the page just appears white. Aaah that' a shame, I liked that idea.
*virtual tumble weed rolls across the screen*
*5 minutes later. Realises she actually needs to write about the subject...*
What was I writing this post about, again? Aaah, yes. My lovely bloggers!

It's obvious that I love blogging, and I love reading other blogs too. Originally I was going to write about only my top favourite blog, but it turns out I really couldn't choose between two, and so I decided to write about them both! So, in no particular order (ooh, I feel like an X factor judge!) here they are...

FashionRocksMySocks
Link: http://www.fashionrocksmysocks.com/
I've been watching Rhiannon's YouTube videos and vlogs ever since I discovered her channel when I was ill one day, and binged watched loads of them! Looking back, it is still one of my favouritest (that's not a word, but it should be!) but most simple days, just because her videos cheered me up so much. Anyway, I recently decided to check out her blog because I love her channel so much and I was not disappointed. She's such a lovely person and her bubbly personality shines through in her posts, as well as her awesome style- which I always admire! Some of my favourite posts of hers is her most recent 'what's in my bag' and 'how I style dungarees' because the outfit collage is so cute and original. I agree... if in doubt, wear some red lipstick!

I think reading her posts is also molding mine to be a little less meaningless and unnecessary drivel (don't use this one as an example!) as hers are concise but still have the chatty vibe, which in my mind is an ideal post to read. So if you are in need of a new blog to read, which is based predominantly around fashion and beauty, I'd definitely recommend this one!
Look how lovely the cover illustrations are!

Through A Cat's Eyes
I re-discovered Cat's blog a few months ago when I got back into hardcore blogging. Hardcore blogging!? What am I going on about? I mean when I got a little more serious with posting and design. Anyway I'm super happy I did because her posts about life and advice are some of my favourites, and I love catching up on them. My favourite post of hers however, was written quite a while ago, but it makes me giggle every time I read it. It's called 'one more thing...' (this is the link) and contains funny and interesting factoids about herself! Which reminds me...I thought I recognised her face when I started re-reading. I'm an avid bake off watcher and I am afraid Cat, if you're reading this, I am one of the ridiculous amount of people that thinks you look like Martha XD!

Looking through some of her posts I am actually starting to believe I am the only blogger out there that hasn't got ridiculously nice hair. I am sitting here with a blonde ponytail, and everyone has amazing curls or a style that suits them so well. Seriously, I just googled 'blogger haircut'. I need to get a life.

Anyway! If you want to find a blog which has original posts about life, with a but of humour, books, beauty and DIY mixed in, 'through a cat's eyes' is perfect. And if you aren't looking to read a blog like that, go and read it anyway because there is something for everyone, hehe.
I love that font! One of my goals for life is to know the names of every one. Is that weird? Oh well...
And they are my two favourite blogs! Hope you get something out of this post, or just enjoy hearing about what kind of blogs I like to read. Are there any blogs you love? I'd like to hear. Signed, Geekling. xxx

A Dismal Day!

Joking! Well, am I?

I went to Dismaland!

If you live outside the UK then I'm not sure whether you are aware of the 'Dismaland' attraction, or whether it's been televises and talked about as much as it has in this country but if you live in the UK, especially England you will most likely have heard about the latest Banksy (and other guest street artists/ artists) exhibition which is being held for 5 weeks in Weston-Super-Mare. If you read one of my earlier posts about my top 5 favourite artists, link here, then you will know that Banksy is one of them and so when I saw it being covered on the news I immediately started googling it.

It is called Dismaland and it has kicked up a storm in the media over here already even though it only opened three days ago. It is Banksy's take on theme parks and amusement parks across the world, and featured a lot of his and other artists work, nearly all of them having some sort of meaning or political message behind them, but I'll get on to that a bit later in the post. It's called Dismaland because the staff and 'attractions' are very gloomy and forlorn and a lot of the work that's in there kind of adds to the effect of that. Anyway I thought you'd like to hear or look into it more (I know there is some mystery about what the experience is like etc.) incase you are thinking about going or you are an art or Banksy lover like myself.

As me and my family aren't local to Weston-Super-Mare at all, we first attempted getting tickets on the Dismaland website, so that we had we had a guaranteed entry without worrying about queueing with a chance we might not get in, as they only accept the first 2,000 in the queue and after that entry is on a one-in-one-out basis. However the website kept going down (6,000,000 people tried to access it each day so no wonder!) and then they finally took the ticket page off the website and declared that on Saturday and Sunday you couldn't get tickets you just had to queue for them- and if you were travelling from far away you had to take the risk. So we did! And luckily for us, it paid off and we got in smoothly!

A little word of warning, though, if you are thinking about going you have to be prepared to queue for a long time. We arrived to Weston-Super-Mare at about 8 or 8:30 and there were about 200 people infront of us. We then queued for about 2 hours to get tickets and then a further hour and a half for them to open the doors and then for the groups of people to be let in at around 10 at a time. We made the mistake of not bringing any camping chairs, foldable seats, food, coffee, water or anything like that and we hadn't had any breakfast. But when we got in, it was worth it. Just be prepared!

The first thing that hits you as part of the dismal experience was the staff, who walk around wearing fluorescent pink hi-vis jackets with the slogan 'DISMAL' written across the back of them. They also wear black Mickey Mouse ears, as a reference to Disneyland. There will be a member of staff manning the entrance who made comments to us and to the people in front about your choice of outfit:
Staff member: 'Did you dress yourself this morning?'
Lady: 'No, my friend chose the outfit.'
Staff member: 'Hmm... It's horrible. I don't think they're a very nice friend''
Lady and myself: *Can't contain our laughter because the dismal and unhelpful comments the staff make and the way they stand and the expressions that they pull are so hilarious*

You then pass through a comic book-like security room, where you get told to look into a cardboard CCTV camera and metal detector and finally get checked by another lackadaisical member of staff. Once again, I couldn't contain my laughter when they were asking me questions to see whether I was dangerous or not!

After that, you go through the doors and the first thing I noticed was the creepy, slow paced music which blared out through old fashioned speakers, and continuously played throughout the whole day, with occasional interruptions from a girl with an eerily sweet voice making political/ scary statements. I can't remember any off the top of my head but I think you get the picture.

One of the main sculptures/ installations/ pieces of art that you see as you go around like you would a normal theme park, is this mermaid, Ariel. Except a distorted and warped version of her, and I have to say that this was my favourite piece by Banksy in the whole thing (I think he did 7 pieces in all). I'm not really sure why- I just think it is original and effective and when I think about it, it must have been incredibly hard to make and then paint whilst keeping it realistic. This is in a big lake in front of a burnt, ash grey and brown kind of Disney castle in the centre of the park, and is one of the first things you see when you walk in.

If you were wondering whether there were any actual fairgroud rides (even though they aren't really the point of the whole place, but you might be interested!) then the answer would be yes. There were 2; a carousel which went round quite a bit faster than a normal one should, and a huge Ferris wheel which once again goes faster than one normally should. The carousel above had a plastic dummy in a white lab suit and mask in though to represent the horse meat scandal, as well as a few horses hung up from the top of the ride, which I've only just noticed looking back at the photos I took, once again to represent the horse meat scandal.

And if you were wondering what was inside the gloomy castle...
You walk through a pitch black corridor which winds around and takes you to the above display: Cinderella draped, lifeless, across a life-size carriage. The crash is surrounded by model photographers, all frantically taking photos (represented by the repeated flashing, so definitely don't go in if you are sensitive to strobe lights or get affected by it). The piece was mesmerising, because it was like looking on something frozen in time. I overheard a woman near me saying it was an interpretation of the car crash that princess Diana sadly died in, and the way that media reacted. Getting the story first, not help?

Here are the photos I took of some of the main features of the 'bemusement park', I won't go into depth about them otherwise this post will be as long as a marathon XD

The Big Rig Jig was colossal!

I loved the wall of simple but thought-provoking poster quotes. One of my favourites is above!

Seagulls are dangerous! Behind the bench is a large part of the park, which is a darkly lit gallery of all the artists work, including a mushroom cloud treehouse, an amazing changing animation and finally a spectacular mini model display of  a town after a riot, it must have took years to finish because the models were so detailed, and there were so many police cars and about 100 flashing lights for their sirens.

A ginormous sandcastle and run down childrens play area. What I found interesting was that children playing in it did not care at all about what state it was in... I don't really know what point I'm trying to make , it just made me think about the difference between childhood and adulthood.
The Ferris wheel I mentioned earlier.
An installation to make a point about the conditions and life of some show whales. Behind the wall in the background was a toilet paper bench XD and a small cinema screen which played several short animations or films. There were two I really loved; some giraffes doing Tom Daley style diving, and then a girl and a boy seemlessly growing from babies to death, all captured through short clips.

And that's all I got up to! Thouroughly recommend it to anyone thinking about going, just get their fairly early and keep the mantra of 'it'll be worth it when I get in' in your head whilst queuing, because it definitely will be. Only £3 entrance fee as well, which I also think was making a point.

Ok, hope you found it interesting. More posts soon! Oooh and thankyou to Maisy for
giving my little blog a shoutout- made me very happy. And shoutout to Sherl for being lovely and understanding, and shoutout to Thunder- hope you are having a great holiday! And shoutout to anyone else reading (think I just covered my whole audience XD) but I love you too :)
Ok, bye! Signed, Geekling. xxx

A Spot of Bother with Technology! Hehe

Goodness gracioso me! For some reason my phone (I'm writing this on 'notes' sat in a car with my slippers on by the way!) just corrected gracious to gracioso!? I'm keeping it- personally find it hilarious. Silly autocorrect. However onto the main subject of this post and that is basically- technology (which it just corrected to tech plague *line mouth emoji*

Don't judge me. I love me' slippers.
As my grandpa just said: 'it can be useful sometimes' of course texting and group messaging and googling etc is a godsend but other times (like today for example!) it can be downright annoying. There. I've said it. I'm sorry. But you have to admit there is truth in that sentence: how many times have you been locked out of your account? Or had to change a password because you forgot one? Or had to desperately google something and then work out why the wifi isn't working!? I have done them all. Numerous times.

Anyway- today was the last straw! (Quite literally actually, remind me to buy some more next time I go shopping) As some of you may know Pinterest is my most favourite apps on my phone. I think it's well designed, easy to use and with an amazing concept. However when I was trying to setup a blog Pinterest account (which is now set up so if you want to go follow I'm called geeklings blog. I'm @geeklingsb) it all went horribly wrong. Picture the scene:
Me: *scrolls through my personal Pinterest boards, pinning stuff and searching for pins*
Me: 'hey, I might set up a blogger account for this- yeah. That'd be cool.'
Me: *logs out*
Me: *the split second after I pressed the logout button* Wait... Do I know my login details to sign back in?-
Me: NOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Me: *stares at screen in horror and despair* *wipes tear away*

And now I'm logged out and I can't get back in. 7,000 pins I had built up in under a year. I may just logout of everything, chuck my laptop and phone out of the window and join some nomadic tribe and sell cows for a living. Ok... That may be slightly overdramatic *no, phone- not over 'dram frantic'!?* I was honestly close to tears because I love the account I had built up. Fujifilm followed me for goodness sake! Fujifilm! *everyone quietly googles Fujifilm*

So yeah. If anyone knows how to get my account back please let me know. I know the password just not the email I signed up with, because I probably made one up. Maybe this is my own fault but I'm too sad to be thinking about ethics right now.

Fellow pinners I offer you a word of warning: 'Think before you log out!' *sniffles*

Signed, Geekling. xxx

*little disclaimer* I am in no way shaming Pinterest or the internet or technology or anything like that, I LOVE them all- to be honest I am just shaming myself and my utter stupidity! Lol.

Great Day!

*Little Note* Sorry this is a re-upload, but I reverted it to draft because I just wasn't happy with it. I've got over that now though, so here you go!
_________________________________________________________________________

Hi guys,
So if you saw my quick post (I think I posted it Tuesday... maybe Monday?) I said that I was going to a meetup sometime soon (not like, myself doing the meetup I mean attending one) and Wednesday was the date! The meetup was hosted by Anastasia from the YouTube channel Floral Princess, Amber from Amber Rose, Eve from Eve Bennett, Lewys from Lookingforlewys and Danni from Danielle Carty. I thought I'd tell you a bit about it for those interested in this kind of stuff, such as what happened and just the day in general.

11:05 am
Went to my friends house, picked her up, began the journey to the shopping centre where the meetup was held. Played some Pitch Perfect, Troye Sivan, Ed Sheeran, Nirvana and Birdy songs in the car.
12:30 pm
Arrived and managed to find a place to park
1:45 pm
Went and had a pizza (deep pan margherita, if you were wondering) and a little salad and headed off into the shopping centre to firstly find the meetup location and then do some hardcore shopping!
2:10 pm
Finally found the meetup place after we got lost. Oops. Commenced shopping!
4:10 pm
Concluded the first part of our shopping experience after having visited: Boots, Superdrug, Paperchase, Tiger, John Lewis, River Island, M & S, Simms Olde Sweetshop and the Models Own Bottle Shop which I stood and discretely took photos of for a while because, for a nail polish addict like myself, it was awesome! *Haul will be going up soon* Headed down to the meetup place quite early
4:30pm
Popped into New Look, Topshop (I love Topshop!) Lush (basically walked around sniffing everything in our reach, but doesn't everyone!?) Walked round to get a Starbucks and race to the opposite end of the centre to buy something and saw Amber and Anastasia. Fangirled completely. Embarrased myself. Promised my friend I'd calm down before we met them for real.
4:40pm
Dashed back to the meetup, popped into Starbucks to get a hot chocolate and then sheepishly followed the clan of YouTube fans and YouTubers before plucking up the courage to speak to Eve and get a photo with her. She was really lovely and had some funny things to say. She said I looked like Taylor Swift which kind of made my week... summer. From then on we went round getting a photo with each of them and chatting a bit to them about their channels, and things we liked. I repeteadly admired Lewys' hair. I want it. Like, can he please start manufacturing wigs. Ok I'm getting weird. On a different subject, Anastasia's eye makeup was gorgeous, with a pale deep red cateye effect and I think cream on the lid. And Amber was so lovely, along with Danielle who came up and talked to us about TV!
6:00 pm
Bought something to eat on the way back and drove home!

Apart from quite seriously burning my tongue (three days later and it only just feels normal!) after anxiously sipping my drink, the day was great and it met my expectations, so thankyou, anyone involved, if you are reading this! We also attended *cough* gate-crashed *cough* a Lush blogger event so details about that will also be going up in a post in the near future.

Signed, Geekling. xxx
And look I'm being all mysterious pixelating my face out... but here are the photos I had with them! Didn't manage to get one with Lewys though *sad face* XD.

Thoughtless Thursday- Beautiful Words

I was searching through Pinterest and stumbled across these today so I changed my pre-planned Thoughtless Thursday completely because I remembered how many of these I love. Remember you can click any image to enlarge it!

Just Stripes From Now On...

Hello! *starts dancing along to the song playing in her one earphone because the bud broke on the other one... but she's not bitter. oh no* Ooh. Guys. (This is turning out to be the most random introduction ever) but do you ever feel that like... your phone and your phones music...I don't know how to explain it... gets to know your music preferences. Like when I put my own music on shuffle and I'm feeling like a bit of Birdy... it puts 'People Help the People' on. Or if I'm in a happy/ confident mood it starts the songs off with the Flawless remix. I don't know. It's just a theory I have. Don't even know why I shared that but oh well. On with the post!

Ok so one of my I use Ok way too much.

So one of my summer aims was to get clearer skin *scoffs*. Reflects on how her skins doing. *un-scoffs* and so I popped out to the shops to try and buy some skincare products. I came out with the essential Waitrose 4 in 1 cucumber facial cleansing wipes and the Clean & Clear deep cleansing lotion for sensitive skin. I also dug out a skin product I had kind of forgotten about which was the Witch naturally clear blemish stick (why call a skincare brand Witch. Like, isn't that the skin we are trying to avoid!? XD) Anyway I thought I'd let you know a bit about them and how I have got on with them!

1) Waitrose 4-in-1 Cleansing Wipes.
I decided on these makeup remover wipes mostly because they were meant to smell of cucumber and I really like fresh and clean smells like that. However when I opened the packet and tried them out I realised that they smelt like watermelon!? I don't mind at all because it happened to be one of my favourite scents but I don't know whether they got it mixed up at the factory or my nose is wrong or something but that's just a little warning. For £1 these are really good- they aren't really dry like other wipes I have tried out and they remove makeup (especially tricky mascara) really well, and leave you feeling refreshed. Definitely worth a try if your around Waitrose!

2) Clean & Clear Deep Cleansing Lotion
I bought this because it says it works especially well on oily skin, which is my skin type, and also because the liquid is bright turquoise! You can tell I didn't really know what I was after when I was looking as I bought things based on their 'pretty colours' XD! Anyway I've been using all these products for about a week and a half now and this product has made me notice a real difference in my skin! It is a lot less oily and I've only got two new spots on my face since using this, which for me, is a huge improvement. I use this every night and every morning before applying my makeup for the day, and because it tightens your pores it reduces their appearance and so shows through makeup a lot less. I think I got this for £4! *Little note* I've not tried the Garnier Micellar cleanser but I really want to give it a go! If any of you already have please tell me how you got on with it.

3) Witch Naturally Clear Blemish Stick
I've had this product quite a while now but I've only just got into using it! As opposed to the two other products I've used this isn't part of my morning and night routine, just because I'm scared that it might be too harsh on my skin if I apply it twice daily! All you do is twizzle the stick up, dab/rub it over the areas you want to treat and then wind the stick down and put the lid on again- simple as that! Don't do what I did one night when I had a significant amount of breakouts and completely rub your face all over because, oh my goodness, the fumes that came of that thing! My eyes watered and I couldn't smell for a few minutes *maybe a slight exaggeration but at least you get the picture!* You can almost instantly notice the difference in the size of your spots, as it tightens them up. Because of the really fresh smell it leaves you feeling clean and the perfect end step to your routine. I think this was £2.59 so bargainous!

Hope you found this helpful, I'm not an expert in this category (or any category for that matter!) but it's just what I've been using and for the first time, I've noticed a positive signifcant difference! I think all of this can be bought for around £10 so a good deal! Signed, Geekling. xx

Highlights of What's in my Make-up Bag! *Warning: Long Post!*

Hello everyone! Just looked and I've reacked 8.5k which feels crazy to say (seeing as I haven't even done a special post yet for reaching 8000!) but I'd love to hit 10k pageviews soon- so that is my next goal- if a little unrealistic. Also (little self promotion going on here!) if you like what you see/read remember to follow me on Blog Lovin' (Look to the right) and follow my blog by email, so you get post updates! Ok, on with the post...

As I have recently been getting into wearing a bit more makeup or just wearing it more regularly I have developed quite an unorganised collection in my makeup bag. As I don't have tonnes of makeup yet I don't have a particular drawer or or set of drawers to store them in- so it all gets chucked in my little makeup bag which isn't really coping very well! Hence a 'highlights of ...' post as if I showed you all of 'What's in my Make-up Bag' it would literally be my whole collection. Equalling in a very boring and very long post. So I decided to pick my favourites from each category (eyes, lips, face) to show you. Ok- on with the post... Take 2!

1) Something I missed out in the close up photo below... Whoops! Anyway it's the Collection 'Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner'
I feel like gel liners are more popular than felt tip, liner pens but I get on just great with this, and I think that gel liners are for more experienced (less shaky-handed!) makeup users. I've used pencil liners before but I much prefer this, as it glides on smoothly, feels a lot gentler on your eyelid and looks sharper. The only niggle (is that even a word!?) that I have with this is the colour tends to dry quite faded, so I just apply a second layer after. I got this product from Boots.

2) L'Oreal Paris Miss Manga Punky Mascara
I love this mascara so so much! In my second most recent favourites video I was raving about the roller lash mascara by Benefit but that started to sting my eyes constantly when I was wearing it and so when I had the chance to buy this mascara I thought it was worth a go... Plus I loved the sleek, bright packaging. I'm really glad I did because, although the advert for it slightly exaggerates the end result of the mascara it does open my eyes, and it's a bit of an edgier, spiky look as opposed to the typical fluttery, floaty lashes. It does provide mega volume, like it says on the tube and for £8.99 I am super impressed. I got this product from Superdrug.

Forgot about my eyeliner! Whoops!

3) Maybelline Brow Satin Eyebrow Filler
Before I finally bought a product which was specifically for your brows I had used a brown eyeshadow and an eyeshadow applicator (I know right- make-up artist in the making! XD) so when I used this for the first time, it struck me how incredibly easy it was to get a good finished look. I like how it has two ends, a softer sponge end and a pencil to create a really natural brow shape, succesfully filling your brows in but so subtle and precise that if another person were looking at them they wouldn't notice. And for £6.99 it's definite value for money! I got this product from Boots.

1) Lush Popcorn Lip Scrub
This is just a pot of popcorn perfection. Sorry couldn't resist. But seriosuly, this product smells heavenly! I was about to put 'it's like the cinema- but on your lips' but I realised it sounded a bit... weird. Past the smell though the end result of this scrub is also amazing. It leaves your lips so so so soft and smooth, perfect for applying lipstick or gloss as it will apply nice and smooth and look spotless! This was well worth the price, which I was originally reluctant to pay! I got this product from Lush. No, really!? *sarcasm*

2) Ted Baker London Coral Lip Gloss
Apart from the annoyance which a product with no name gives me when trying to write a post about it, I love this lip product. The consistency and the really soft applicator makes it glide on so gently and the shine lasts for a long time. The colour is also really buildable- starting off at a peachy orange colour and tunring into a vibrant coral colour perfect for a bold statement lip in the summer. And, if you don't mind me mentioning, the packaging is to be admired... look at the lid...rose gold! You know how much I love me' rose gold!

3) Patisserie De Bain Lemon Bon-Bon Lip Balm.
I featured this product in a post fairly recently. So if you want to read about it, click here!

1) Maybelline Dream Fresh 8-in-1 BB Cream
I bought this BB cream quite a while ago and it has lasted me a long time, as you don't need much product to cover your face, and it hasn't even started going iffy or drying up yet so I'm really pleased with it. As most of the time I go for a barely there makeup look, I find that this is a perfect base to slightly even out your skin, blur and cover little bumps or imperfections whilst feeling really light and fresh on your face. According to the packaging (which I really like) it also has many benefits for your skin too which are:
  1. It creates a natural glow
  2. It compliments your skin tone
  3. Gives SPF30 UV protection
  4. It hydrates your skin all day
  5. It blurs your imperfections
  6. Oil free so your skin doesn't look greasy
  7. Looks visibly smooth
  8. And finally, feels fresh.
I got this product from Wilkinson's. Available in Boots and Supedrug also, though.

2) Rimmel Match Perfection Highlighter and Concealer
This concealer is a must have for me! It covers most spots, and hides redness really well. Also cancels out the blue/purple shade on your under eyes to give you a fresh and awake looking complexion (even if you are half asleep, like me... most of the time!) I think it suits my skin tone fine and the applicator is handy when I can't be bothered to find a brush to apply it. I've only just started using it as a highlighter, applying it along my brow bone and in the hollows of my cheeks, and I think in the latter place it works surprisingly well to give me more defined cheek bones. It also blends smoothly and I believe it is great quality for the price. I got this product from Superdrug.

July Favourites || 2015

Hi my lovelies! It feels like absolutely ages since I did one of these, because I think I chose not to do one last month as I didn't have any particular favourites- however this month I have struggled to pick there were so many!

1) Crazy Colour Temporary Hair Dye
If you have been reading my blog for a while now, you will now I have an obsession with crazy hair colours, and that I long to have blue, pink, lilac or silver hair when I have the chance... well for now this is my crazy-coloured hair fix. I got given two bottles by a friend- after she recommended them- in the shades 'pinkissimo' which is a hot pink and then 'candy floss' which is a light baby pink. So far I have used 'pinkissimo' and I was sceptical as to whether it would show up on my darkish blonde hair and I was happily surprised that it does! And it lasts about 2-3 washes, only fading a little each time, so I don't have to keep doing my hair if I want to keep it in for a few days, so I much prefer it to hair chalk. I love it!

2) Barry M Mustard Polish & L'oreal Paris Miss Manga Punky Mascara
I have recently been loving the newish L'oreal Paris miss manga punky mascara (such catchy names!) which I will be reviewing and talking about in my next post so I won't go into depth about it now, and instead talk about another beauty favourite of mine! Last week I finally went out and bought a Barry M polish which I have been wanting since I saw it (which is about 6 months ago now!). It is part of the Gelly Hi-Shine collection which is my favourite nail polish collection ever because of the drying time, colours and such beautiful shine. It's in the shade 'mustard' which is such a beautiful summer- into- autumn colour. It's a lot more subtle than I thought, due to my skin tone and so you could really wear it for any occasion. Also with the 70's trend recently, it ties in with that too! For the price, these polishes are incredible. I highly recommend them.

3) Blogosphere Magazine
I got bought this by a relative as they know how much time I spend blogging and on YouTube watching videos and generally participating in all things internet! I read most of it yesterday and (as it says on the front cover) it's a magazine about bloggers, for bloggers. However, if you are looking to discover new blogging content, or are interested in the blogging world (the issue I got was mostly beauty, travel and photography related) then this is a great source. It also has inspiring articles, a really helpful blogging agony aunt and interviews in it (in this issue they featured and talked to Marcus Butler, who is one of the YouTubers I watch, so I was pleased!) And I think it was only a pound or two so well worth a read!

4) Lana Del Rey!
New favourite singer! New favourite songs! Aaah! How have I not listened to her before!? Her voice and style of singing is so original and unique, and her songs have meaning and stories behind them and aah. I just love her! Some of my favourites so far have been 'National Anthem' which I am listening to as I write this post, 'Born to Die', 'Ultraviolence' (the chorus of that song is just amazing), 'Video Games' and 'Young and Beautiful' which is my current favourite song and I think will be for a while. If you haven't already listened to Lana Del Rey then seriously do. I don't even mind if you stop reading this post to listen to her because she is so good. *Takes a break from writing to binge listen to her songs!*

5) Agar.io
This game should come with a warning because it is slightly addicting. I keep finding myself going on it on my phone (because it's an app as well as online!) and I end up playing about 20 games (although to be fair, I die in the first few seconds on most of them so...). The highest I've ever got is number 10 in the ranks- I honestly felt so proud! Anyway, it is a game where you are a little blob of colour on a screen, and there are about 100 other blobs in the game as well, who are all real people playing like you- and you try to get as big as you can by eating other people or some of the little balls of food on the screen. It's a lot harder than it sounds- making it basically take over your life... I found out about this after watching Pewdiepie's videos of him playing it with fans and public and I recommend them too (just be careful as they contain quite a lot of swearing... it reflects how frustrating the game is! XD)
Shortly after I got eaten...
So these are my favourites for July! Hope you discovered something new, or at least found it interesting. If you want me to include more products or things in my favourites then comment down below. I could maybe cut down the writing so it doesn't seem as daunting when you look at it! XD
Have a nice Sunday. Signed, Geekling. xxx
